The training staff at the Border Police The training staff at the Border Police Training Base, located in Beit Horon, is responsible for the professional, command and ethical training of the force’s soldiers. This staff consists of experienced commanders and instructors whose job is to turn recruits into skilled fighters in a variety of operational scenarios.

The following are key details about the training and instruction staff at the Border Police Command:

• Staff structure: The staff includes squad commanders, platoon commanders, counter-terrorism instructors, and marksmanship and fitness instructors. These teams accompany the recruits throughout all stages of training.
• Training designation:

o Fighter training: Training of recruit companies (Rifles 05/07) in the areas of combat in built-up areas, counter-terrorism, arrests, marksmanship, and hand-to-hand combat.

o Command courses: Training the future generation of Border Police command  that takes place at the base.

o Advanced training: Training of permanent units, special units, and volunteers (including courses – volunteers in uniform).

• Areas of expertise: The staff guides in complex scenarios such as operational activity in East Jerusalem, combat in a wooded area, and taking over a hijacked bus.
• Special emphases: The staff emphasizes mental toughness, high self-discipline, and Border Police values.

During training, the fighters practice at a base equipped with advanced training facilities, including built-up area warfare, a shooting range, and Krav Maga rooms.
