The GA (abbreviation: Defense against gases and air attacks/Civil Defense) was an IDF unit that handled civil defense.
Manpower
Many low-profile or elderly reservists served in the GA. In the 1950s, 45-50 year-olds served in the GA. Initially, the GA reserve soldiers served without uniforms
and had separate ranks from those in the IDF. Reserve officers were awarded the ranks: deputy commander, senior commander and chief commander, and enlisted men were awarded ranks with the title “Gonen” (Gonen, Rav Gonen, Serjeant Gonen)
After the Yom Kippur War, the IDF worked to return many soldiers who had been transferred to the GA to combat units due to a shortage of manpower.
Roles
The GA personnel were responsible for search and rescue roles, and the IDF held rescue and rescue courses at its central training base.

Richard McClintock, a Latin scholar from Hampden-Sydney College, is credited with discovering the source behind the ubiquitous filler text. In seeing a sample of lorem ipsum, his interest was piqued by consectetur—a genuine, albeit rare, Latin word. Consulting a Latin dictionary led McClintock to a passage from De Finibus Bonorum et Malorum On the Extremes of Good and Evil, a first-century B.C. text from the Roman.
So when is it okay to use lorem ipsum? First, lorem ipsum works well for staging. It’s like the props in a furniture store—filler text makes it look like someone is home. The same Wordpress template might eventually be home to a fitness blog, a photography website, or the online journal of a cupcake fanatic. Lorem ipsum helps them imagine what the lived-in website might look like.
