A.R.P. (Air Raid Precautions) The mandatory A.R.P. (Civil Defense) system in Israel was established in 1939 on the eve of World War II, and was based directly on the British model.
Its main goal was to prepare the civilian population in the home front and deal with the consequences of aerial bombing, especially by the Italian and German air forces that bombed cities in the country (mainly Haifa and Tel Aviv) between 1940 and 1942.
Characteristics of the organization and its activities in Palestine
Local British model: The Mandatory government established a national center in Jerusalem and local centers in the major cities (Haifa, Tel Aviv and Jaffa), which were subordinate to the district commanders. The organization recruited civilians from the community, some on a voluntary basis and some on a part-time basis.
Instructions and exercises: A.R.P. inspectors (who wore armbands or pins with the inscription A.R.P.) supervised the duty of Nighttime blackouts in cities, trained the public to enter shelters and trenches, and instructed them to tape windows to prevent shrapnel.

Richard McClintock, a Latin scholar from Hampden-Sydney College, is credited with discovering the source behind the ubiquitous filler text. In seeing a sample of lorem ipsum, his interest was piqued by consectetur—a genuine, albeit rare, Latin word. Consulting a Latin dictionary led McClintock to a passage from De Finibus Bonorum et Malorum On the Extremes of Good and Evil, a first-century B.C. text from the Roman.
So when is it okay to use lorem ipsum? First, lorem ipsum works well for staging. It’s like the props in a furniture store—filler text makes it look like someone is home. The same Wordpress template might eventually be home to a fitness blog, a photography website, or the online journal of a cupcake fanatic. Lorem ipsum helps them imagine what the lived-in website might look like.
